Thinking Differently

Sometimes its nice to just slow down, take your time and go back to basics.

I have a 14 year old Cybershot RX100, a pocket camera from Sony which has probably a tenth of the capabilities of my normal to day camera. But its small, compact and fits in my pocket.

I could say the same about my phone, I know - but here is something a lot more deliberate of having to turn the Cybershot on and line up the frame.

What I like the most though is that its not about the technical perfection of the images - if it was i would use my much more capable camera. This is more about seeing and trying to capture a feeling right out of the camera whilst out and about, rather that being out specifically to take pictures.

These were of Roker beach where I sat outside the lovely Elephant Bar with a coffee and watched the world go by for a while.

They are JPEGS using the Retro picture profile and pretty much straight out of camera with minimal edits.

Also it was half term, the weather was gorgeous and it was half eleven in the morning - where was everyone!?!
